You’ll never guess HOW much sugar is in one Cadbury’s Creme Egg!

Easter is coming and so is the temptation of chocolate Easter eggs – which are not always great if you’re trying hard to stick to your weight loss plan.

One of the world’s favourite Easter eggs has been doing the social media rounds lately, revealing some astonishing figures about the sugar contents.

Rebecca Bilham, who runs a Facebook page called The Little Red Hut Home & Gifts, worked out exactly how much sugar is in a single Creme Egg. Find out more below…

Cadbury Creme Egg

You won’t believe how much sugar is in a  Creme Egg!

A Creme Egg is 727kJ per serve (39g) and 1860kJ per 100g (note 1 egg is 39g). The egg contains 26g of sugar, making it the main ingredient in the egg.

As we know, sugar is addictive and acts as a toxin to our body so having one egg with this large amount of sugar in it can be detrimental to staying at just one egg.

Well, never fear! The Healthy Mummy is here! You can STILL ENJOY healthy eating and some sweet-treats at the same time….AND you won’t miss out on all the family fun this Easter!
