We’re yet to know the young royal’s name, but it’s been announced that we will find out more in the next few days.
“The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives,” another post on Instagram reads,

Ahead of the birth, the public were told they were going to have to wait a little longer to see a glimpse of their royal baby and hear all the details – as they want to celebrate privately first.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their plans via Buckingham Palace.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby,” reads the statement.
“Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.
“The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”

Breaking from royal tradition
When Harry’s sister-in-law Kate Middleton gave birth she posed just hours afterwards outside the private Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London.
However, Harry and Meghan will break with tradition and will instead host a ‘photo call’ at Windsor Castle, as they reportedly that announcing the birth straight away with pictures of the Duchess and baby was too much like a “goldfish bowl”.
Meghan is rumoured to have hired a doula for birth
While we’re unsure of the exact details of Meghan’s birth, rumours were swirling that she was planning on hiring a doula.
Unlike a midwife, a doula or non-medical assistant, gives women emotional support during pregnancy and birth helping to assist the mum through key decisions, provide reassurance and encouragement.
“Meghan is focused on calm and positive energy around the birth — she’s a big believer in that,” a source told Us Weekly.
There’s also been reports that the Duchess of Sussex has also been learning some hypno-birthing techniques for labour.
“Meg wants a natural birth if she can have one. Her mother is very into anything that is holistic and natural, and having been brought up with yoga and mindfulness, it’s all very much part of Meghan’s birth plan,” a source told Vanity Fair.
The insider also added that Meghan has also been having acupuncture sessions.
