Nashara has lost 2.5 stone in 9 months (from October 2018 to June 2019) and says “The Healthy Mummy has changed my outlook on life, to me it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle change”.
As well as losing weight by eating healthy and delicious meals from the Challenge meal plan, Nashara has developed a love of exercise.
She says “exercise makes me feel good and ready to tackle any day.”
Having had a membership at a gym but never finding the time to use it Nashara chooses to follow the exercise videos on the Healthy Mummy Challenge App.
Sometimes opting for ones as short as 5 mins, and longer when she has time.
How has your life changed since you started The Healthy Mummy?
Previously plagued by gallstones and suffering from bloating, she says The Healthy Mummy meals and Smoothies stopped her gallbladder attacks.
After having her gallbladder removed and while she was recovering she found The Healthy Mummy smoothies particularly helpful in being easy to digest and keeping her feeling fuller for longer.
Not only that, her skin looks more radiant, her nails are stronger and she is is full of energy.
The 3 tips Nashara would give mums on getting started and how to keep going when they feel like giving up is… 1. Remember to pace yourself. Set mini goals and take this one day at a time. 2. Meal/snack planning helps. If the food is planned in advance it definitely helps you to avoid reaching for other naughty snacks. 3. If you had a bad day in terms of not eating right, don’t beat yourself up about it.Tomorrow is a new day. 4. Remember to drink lots of water.
By taking control of her weight and health, Nashara is feeling body confident and proud. And so she should be! She says “I’m learning to love to skin I am in.
