After losing 2.5 stone mum-of-4 has totally changed her outlook on life

Mum-of-4 Nashara Campbell never knew how much losing weight would change her life.  She was determined to feel comfortable in her own skin – and that she has achieved and so much more.

She is one of 6 INSPIRING mums who were invited to take part in The Healthy Mummy’s EPIC BODY CONFIDENCE photo shoot in London.


The Healthy Mummy’s EPIC BODY CONFIDENCE photo shoot in London is all part of World Healthy Mummy month.

The London shoot is the last of 3 photo shoots around the world (others in New York and Sydney) which celebrate of women of all sizes and ages who are living their best and healthiest lives.


Beautiful, body confident Nashara has curves in all the right places. She absolutely rocked the shoot and we couldn’t be prouder of her.

However Nashara wasn’t always this confident. Here is her story.

“My confidence was non-existent”

Nashara (age 32) is a proud mum of 4 lovely kids, ages 12, 9 ,2 and 10 months old. Originally from sunny Jamaica, then Florida, and now residing in Essex.

When Nashara signed up to The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges in October 2018 she was at her lowest point in her life.

She says “My confidence was non existent and my weight was skyrocketing through the roof.

I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror without a feeling of disgust and failure.

I wanted to be able to feel comfortable in my skin and be able to look in the mirror and love what I see. And just get to a healthy weight”.

She admits to having tried almost every diet and weight loss product available, yet always failing with them after a couple of weeks.

What motivated you to try The Healthy Mummy?

“I am doing The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges because for me it’s easy to follow. It’s more of a lifestyle change for me.

The meals are fantastic and the support and advice from the mums on The Healthy Mummy Private Facebook Group is great”.

In addition to enjoying the delicious meals on The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges Nashara has been enjoying the Healthy Mummy smoothies.

She says “They have been a lifesaver for me. So quick and easy and nutritious. Can be made the night before so I don’t have to wake anyone with blending.

For a busy mum like me it is ideal and it has certainly played a big part of my weight loss and healthy eating journey.”

Weight Loss Results – 2.5 stone in 9 months

Nashara has lost 2.5 stone in 9 months (from October 2018 to June 2019) and says “The Healthy Mummy has changed my outlook on life, to me it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle change”.

As well as losing weight by eating healthy and delicious meals from the Challenge meal plan, Nashara has developed a love of exercise.

She says “exercise makes me feel good and ready to tackle any day.”


Having had a membership at a gym but never finding the time to use it Nashara chooses to follow the exercise videos on the Healthy Mummy Challenge App.

Sometimes opting for ones as short as 5 mins, and longer when she has time.

How has your life changed since you started The Healthy Mummy?

Previously plagued by gallstones and suffering from bloating, she says The Healthy Mummy meals and Smoothies stopped her gallbladder attacks.

After having her gallbladder removed and while she was recovering she found The Healthy Mummy smoothies particularly helpful in being easy to digest and keeping her feeling fuller for longer.

Not only that, her skin looks more radiant, her nails are stronger and she is is full of energy.

The 3 tips Nashara would give mums on getting started and how to keep going when they feel like giving up is…
1. Remember to pace yourself. Set mini goals and take this one day at a time.
2. Meal/snack planning helps. If the food is planned in advance it definitely helps you to avoid reaching for other naughty snacks.
3. If you had a bad day in terms of not eating right, don’t beat yourself up about it.Tomorrow is a new day.
4. Remember to drink lots of water.

By taking control of her weight and health, Nashara is feeling body confident and proud. And so she should be! She says “I’m learning to love to skin I am in.

The Healthy Mummy is more of a lifestyle change and has been easy for me to follow. Real mums, real results. I just love it.

And the support from the mums in the Healthy Mummy private support group has been AMAZING!”
