The photo on the right was this morning as I was leaving for work. Probably the first time in my life I’ve felt comfy in a skirt. No sweaty bits everywhere, no painfully rubbing thighs. I have lost approx 2 stone with The Healthy Mummy – probably more since the photo on the left was taken, but I only started properly counting in April 2018. I think more than the weight loss, the confidence and the improvement in my mental health is the biggest change I’ve experienced. I have energy, I don’t rely on chocolate and fizzy drinks to get me through the day. I am less bloated. The Healthy Mummy truly is a game changer. And it’s totally sustainable too. Thank you Healthy Mummy!”
Nashara says “I started The Healthy Mummy in October 2018 with a starting weight of just over 14 stone. This morning I weighed myself and I’m now just over 11 stone equivalent to 3 stones lost in 8 months with The Healthy Mummy! Am I where I want to be weight wise? No. But on the right track. I’m eating healthier and exercising nearly everyday now with exercises from the 28 Day Challenge App. I feel good and I’m more confident and I know I will get to where I want to be because of the support of the mums from the group. Real mums, Real results! People are starting to notice my weight loss now and I get compliments all the time now which pushes me to work harder and to stay on track..there have been a few slips here and there but I just get right back on track..it’s a lifestyle change after all, not a diet”.

Ruth says “Day to day I tend to dress quite casual for work. And it sometimes takes me to wear some smart clothing to see a difference and give me that confidence boost. A brand new outfit and heels can do wonders for your confidence! I would not have felt comfortable in this 6 months ago – not least I was bigger, I sweated a lot more, and the heels would have lasted all of 10 minutes (if that!)
Take the time ladies to reflect on how far you’ve come – even if it is just to put some nice clothes on or something you wouldn’t wear day to day and give yourself that boost you deserve!”
Tessa says, “A tale of two slides… the first was over the Christmas break, when I had only just started my Healthy Mummy journey. The second was just a couple of weeks ago. I have always tried to make a conscious effort to join in with the kids where I can but it doesn’t mean I felt comfortable doing it! I hold weight on my hips and thighs and would often struggle not to have them touching the sides of slides in playgrounds and soft play, sending me on an embarrassing go-slow. I was mortified when I saw this picture from Christmas – the thighs, the chins. I keep it to remind me to keep working on my “slide profile” I want to be able to participate as much as possible for as long as possible. Although I am now beginning to realise that some of the soft play slides are actually quite fast!! Wherever you are in your journey, don’t sit on the sidelines Mama! We don’t get these days back!
Alexandra says, “During my Healthy Mummy journey so far I’ve had so many ups and downs mentally about my body and the way I look and I still do now. But I’m accepting my body now and I have worked hard for it. These are still before and during pictures by all means not at target yet, but I’m now happy finally.
