Laurenโs weight loss story
“Iโve completed QUITE a few 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge,ย and I donโt think Iโve had one whole month where I havenโt โfallen off the wagonโ so to speak. Am I failing? No! Have I lost weight? Yes! Am I living? Hell yes!
Iโve lost over 2st. by living a mostly healthy, balanced lifestyle using The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge. I am a single mum of two gorgeous children, a daughter 6 and a son 4.ย We live a very busy, active lifestyle these days. One of the most important things Iโve learnt during my Healthy Mummy journey is a lesson on balance.
Before I started the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge,ย Iโd TRY to eat healthy. It would last a few days if I was lucky, then Iโd go off track for a month or three. I would literally give up! It was โtoo hardโ.
I followed theย Healthy Mummyโs Facebook Support Groupย for a little while,ย watching the amazing success stories, but I didnโt believe in myself. I didnโt believe I had what I takes to change my life.
It took me to hit rock bottom before I knew I needed to give the challenge a go. I immediately LOVED IT! The food, the support, the amazing recipes.ย How could I fall off the wagon?
Well, it does happen. Weekends I often over indulge while out and about. Holidays I definitely eat far more than my body requires. When Iโm sick or sad or stressed, I often find myself diving in to the biscuit packet or a block of chocolate. Does this mean Iโm failing? Absolutely not!!
A balanced lifestyle
The thing is, in this amazing journey, Iโve lost over 2st. by living a balanced lifestyle which sometimes means โtreatโ food. But Iโve learnt that having a day or even a week of bad food doesnโt make me a failure.

I love that I can mostly be eating amazing home cooked food and nourishing my body.ย But I also love that I can go out for a meal and feel no guilt. None. Zero.ย Zilch!
