These mums lost 85 pounds combined and say their lives have changed forever

Sarah Varney-Wiseman has lost more than 42 lbs

Sarah says, “Ok apologies for the essay but I’ve had a bit of an epiphany. So last week, I ended up eating out five times (bad planning and unfortunate coincidences).”

“Before the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge knowing I was eating out in the evening would usually make me blow out the entire day. Or if I went out for lunch, I would have spent the rest of the day eating junk because I thought I had blown it.”

“And then one day would spiral into two or three or a week, and before I knew it, the wagon was entirely lost.”

“However, something has happened to my brain after three and a half months of The Healthy Mummy’s 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge.”

“For the first time in my life, I just automatically choose the healthy option. And believe me, when you are dairy and egg free, there aren’t usually many options at all when you eat out.”

“Of my five meals out, two I had soup, two I had salad and the last (and most limited pub menu) I had ham and chips with salad and left half of the chips. I have never ordered a salad in my life and yet I really enjoyed both! I didn’t “blow” any day, I didn’t go home and binge, I didn’t feel like I was missing out and I didn’t feel guilty.”

“I have literally never had a normal relationship with food, I’ve always been an all or nothing person and I’m just stunned that I seem to be “cured”. I don’t live to eat any more!”

“Another example is this week, I’ve had a very poorly baby who has let me sleep even less than usual. On Tuesday night, I had about an hour of sleep, got up and went to work, ran a load of errands, generally had a full on day and I didn’t revert back to sugar to sustain me through the day.”

“The old me would have started on the biscuits at 8am and just ridden the sugar rollercoaster until I crashed hard and went to bed.”

“So yes I’ve lost more than 3 stone with the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge in a very short space of time. However, the biggest change that I am most grateful for is in my head!”

Kaire Konton-Smith’s life has changed for the better

Alyson says, “I’ve dug out my measurements from last year mixed with a pic from our holiday the same time.”
“Although I felt pretty good on holiday I know this was purely down to me being at pre-pregnancy weight, at this point I focused solely on the scales.”
“However, since joining The Healthy Mummy’s 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge, I know the scales aren’t everything and how you feel and measurements are more important.
Based on my recent measurements I’m smaller than last year but weigh the same.”

Hazel Cooke is finally happy and confident with her body


Hazel says, “If you had told me seven months ago that I’d be buying a belly skimming tassel size 10 top I think I would have literally laughed in your face!”

“I hadn’t showed my stomach to anyone and would always wear big baggy jumpers and tops to cover it up. I’d be mortified if when taking off my jumper it lifted to show my several muffins top!”

“Well seven months later and (with some ups and downs) I can truly say I’m confident and happy with my body! Is my stomach amazingly toned? No. Do I still have some tummy rolls? Yes. Am I ok with it? Absolutely! “

“I do know that if I was strict in myself in terms of food and exercise that I could change that but I’m not sure I want to enough. Life is about balance.”

“What I’ve learnt about myself doing the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge is that it isn’t a journey as a journey has an end, but it is truly a change in lifestyle.”

“Sometimes I’m not great with my food intake, other days I’m not great with exercise and more than often I’m a balanced version of both, good with what I fuel my body and what I do with it and to me that’s what makes it sustainable!”
