What inspired you to join the Healthy Mummy UK Support Group?
I was inspired to join the Healthy Mummy UK Facebook Support Group following its launch late last year.
I had previously been a member of the Australian Private Facebook Support Group. I also have some friends who live in Australia who were having fantastic results and I wanted to get involved and learn more.
How did you learn about the Healthy Mummy UK?
Again, it was through my participation in the Australian Facebook Support Group.

What has been your greatest obstacle while on your health and weight loss journey thus far?
My biggest obstacle is myself!
I am very good at self sabotage and falling into bad habits so I have to make sure I’m super organised and plan in meal prep/exercise time into my days and weeks so it stops me from straying off course.
What has been your greatest achievement while on your health and weight loss journey thus far?
My greatest achievement thus far is getting comfortably into size 16 clothes after being a size 20 for what felt like forever! As well as beginning to fit into some of my size 14’s. This was something I thought would never happen!
What is your main HEALTH and weight loss goal?
My current weight loss goal is to get to a healthy BMI which would put my weight at around 11st 7lbs. I have gone from 16st 9lbs to 13st 6lbs so I know this is doable.

What are your smaller, monthly goals?
My smaller monthly goals tend to be aiming at loosing around half a stone a month.
This isn’t a quick fix. I’m in it for the long game so I’m not pushing myself too hard as I know I’ll want to give up.
I know I will get to where I want to be if it takes 1 year or if it takes 2 years at the end of the day the end result will still be achieved.
Do you have any tips for other mums starting out on there health and weight loss journey?
My main tip would be to be kind to yourself!
This is a lifestyle change, not a diet!
It’s not about starving yourself or exercising from dawn till dusk. It’s about fitting things in around a busy family life and not being too hard on yourself if you stray off course along the way. Sometimes we all have to hit the reset button.
