Mum kicks off her weight loss journey with a HUGE bulk cooking BONANZA

With a goal to lose 5 stone, new Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge member Andrea Atherton embarked on a bulk cooking bonanza that will blow your mind!

And the best part is she had the cutest little helper at her side!

The motivation for losing weight

When mum Andrea had her first child she gained almost 5 stone. She found losing 3.2st relatively easy but struggled with the rest.

Soon after she went to America for her honeymoon and BAM! She came home with a lovely surprise. She was pregnant again!

Having now had her second child she says “I am back to square one and wanting to lose almost 5 stone”. 

A short-term solution

She says “I joined a gym earlier in the year, however my youngest who was 5 months at the time, kept getting sick”.

This meant she couldn’t place her daughter in the crèche which meant she couldn’t go to the gym and hence was wasting her money on the gym membership.

So instead of going to the gym she began walking 2-3 miles at a time and started preparing some of the free recipes available on The Healthy Mummy website.

Andrea says “I have so much exercise equipment at home but struggle to know what to do without the guidance of a personal trainer or fitness group class”.

Biting the bullet “Why didn’t I do this sooner?”

Andrea recently decided to bite the bullet and sign up for the Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge.

She says “So I finally bit the bullet and signed up.

What can I say? WHY DIDNT I DO THIS SOONER?!?!?! Loooooving the recipes!”.

As Andrea found out, preparing food in bulk is more fun when you have a little helper. Especially one this cute!

She says “The best part is I have my eldest daughter (4) having a blast helping me bake and cook, giving her seal of approval”.

She says “I only started the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge today by doing the fitness test and doing some meal prep.
