Elizabeth’s migraines have disappeared since she joined the challenge

‘Success’ on our 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge plans isn’t just defined by weight loss alone. We LOVE sharing great news like this.

After years of suffering, Healthy Mummy Elizabeth says she hasn’t had any migraines or anxiety attacks since joining the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge.

Elizabeth came across the Healthy Mummy on Facebook, followed the page and finally took the plunge and joined the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge five month ago.

Elizabeth says, “I went full on into it! Prepping and batch cooking straight away.

I lost 4lbs in my first week. Taking me from a tight size 14 to a size 12 again. I have then continued to lose 2-3lbs a month so I am now looking at a very close 1.5 stone in just five months.”

However her journey has been far from easy. She says: “I fell pregnant four months ago, which obviously halted my goal of losing weight.

I sadly miscarried at 6 weeks. I decided to carry on with the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge due to needing something to focus on and I was determined not to fall into the dark hole of depression again.

I had also been selected to be a Motivating Mum which I had applied for before any of this happened. This was exactly what I needed.”

Elizabeth used to suffer migraines and headaches from the age of 5, she was always told they were hormonal, so she is delighted with the results.  “In the last five months I can honestly say that I have had ONE migraine which didn’t even develop. I’ve not had day to day headaches.

My anxiety has completely gone!

Simple things would send me into an anxiety attack, family events, children’s birthday parties, you name it!

Since I started on the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge, not one attack. Even following my miscarriage, I did not feel anxious. In fact, I felt positive that things were going to be okay.

My husband noticed the difference straight away in my mental health and how I was conducting myself.”

Elizabeth’s top tips for mums

  1. “Make sure you take your time to get to know what you are signing up for! Be prepared.
  2. Use the support! We all need encouragement and support on our journey so use it.
  3. Go for it! If you are going to make this change, do it! You won’t know unless you try.”

Elizabeth’s tips for if the scales aren’t moving

“Since joining the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge I weigh at the beginning and end of each challenge. I never used to take photos of myself – now, I take them all the time. I’m not one for revealing them but I still take them for me.

The scales don’t always tell you the full story!

I am a major sufferer of holding onto fluid, bloating etc due to hormones so sometimes even pictures will make me look like I’ve gained loads, but 2 days later it’s all gone!

Regular photos and measurements are the way forward!! And you will see the changes happening. You will FEEL the changes happening as well. More energy, clearer skin, stronger hair and nails. The list is endless!”

Elizabeth’s favourite 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge snacks are the Weetabix slice and the cheesy broccoli bites. She adds: “Our favourite family meals are the Spanish Rice and chorizo and Stovetop Lasagne. My husband is addicted to the banana breakfast bites for his breakfast every day!!”

Elizabeth is also a huge fan of the Healthy Mummy smoothies.  She adds: “I use The Healthy Mummy Smoothies every day for breakfast. As a working mum who is out the door by 7:15 every morning, these save me skipping the most important meal of the day.

I now don’t miss this meal. I also feel less bloated since using them. My nails are so much better! I just feel great for the rest of the day when I have one in the morning.”

To sum up Elizabeth’s Healthy Mummy experience she says: “I am finding that I am comfortable in my own skin again. I am going through the day with confidence and happiness. I have found me again! I have found the person who loves life and loves challenges and wants to give things a go!”
