Dad lost 22lbs in 10 weeks with The Healthy Mummy weight loss challenge

Dad Jeff decided to give the Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challengea go after seeing his fiancé Melissa lose 5.8st and completely transform herself mentally and physically. He has now lost 22lbs (1.5 stone) in 10 weeks, bringing their combined weight loss to more than 7.3st. Wow!

But it was Melissa’s recent post about her fiancé’s weight loss transformation that got our attention. A tidal wave of support and congratulations flooded in from our community of mums who love seeing couples supporting each other in their weight loss journeys. And so do we!
Healthy Mummy 28 Day Challenge helps Dads lose weight too
Watching Melissa’s incredible mental and physical transformation and wanting to look and feel healthier himself, Jeff decided to commit fully to the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge.
Melissa says “I guess he saw the results that I was getting and noticed his weight slowly creeping up. He wanted to change so he could keep up with me. He knew how fit I was getting and how I loved exercising and realised it was something fun that we could do together. And something that would make him feel great as well”.

Melissa and Jeff have been together for 5 years and she has been following The Healthy Mummy lifestyle for the past 2.5 years (doing a combination of smoothies and recipes from the 28 Day Challenge).
Although Jeff had been enjoying meals that Melissa has been making from the Challenge for the past 2.5 years he would also give in to takeaways, ice-cream and chocolate.
Referring to her husband she says “This dude right here had never stepped into a gym or eaten healthy before he met me”.
10 weeks ago he decided to give The Healthy Mummy Challenge a real go
Melissa says “10 weeks ago he made a commitment to himself to give this (The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge) a real go. Following the meal plans and committing to exercising 3 days a week – doing 1 x HIIT session, 1 x weights sessions and 1 x cross training session”.
Determined to support her fiance as best she could Melissa prepped all his meals and snacks from the Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge recipe hub, including lunches for him to take to work.

Melissa says “He had 1 cheat meal a week and it could be whatever he wanted”.
“During the past 10 weeks, he didn’t slip up once! Almost everything he ate was a Healthy Mummy meal and he had a Healthy Mummy Smoothies for breakfast each day too”.
“His favorite being the Snickers Smoothie. He has it with half skim milk and half water”.
“He is loving this so much he wants to continue”
“Today was meant to be his final day, but he is loving it that much he wants to continue and see where this journey takes him”.
So dedicated to his new healthy lifestyle Melissa says “I even offered him some choc chip ice cream and he said No!
This guy would refuse to believe in eating healthy or exercising and now I can’t even give him a spoon of ice cream!.
“His will power is much stronger and he doesn’t feel like he needs or wants the foods that he used to eat. He is happy to eat healthy and his loving the way it makes him feel.
Having a sweet tooth just as Melissa does, she says “It helps that there are plenty of healthy sweet snacks available on the challenge because he feels like he is not deprived of anything”.
Weight loss results- 1.5 stone (22lbs) in 10 weeks
Starting weight 15.1st. Now 13.6st. That’s a 22lbs weight loss. He has also lost 28.1 cm from his body.
Not only has he lost 1.5 stone many of our Healthy Mummy mums agree that he looks 10 years younger too.
Exercising together has bought them closer
Melissa says “It’s so good to finally feel like we have something in common!
It’s great when we train together because he loves it and it makes us closer.
When he first started he could barely do a sit-up, now he can now smash out a few hundred sit-ups.
He always thought he was fit but hadn’t realised that after 20 years of doing very little exercise, his fitness level was no longer what he thought.
In just 10 weeks however, he is now at a similar fitness level to me and I have been working on myself for over 2 years!”.

“It honestly doesn’t take that much to improve your health, lifestyle and make those changes for the better. He shines confidence and is loving his new body.
I can’t wait to see what another 10 weeks will do stay tuned.
