When a Mum gets on board The Healthy Mummy journey there can be lots of benefits for the whole family! This was definitely the case for busy parents of three Debbie and Lee from Lincolnshire, whose family now has a Healthy Mummy and a Healthy Daddy!
Dad Lee has had his own amazing transformation since wife Debbie joined The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge last year. With access to thousands of healthy family recipes and snacks from the Healthy Mummy App, Lee has transformed his body and lost a massive 1.8 stone in just 12 weeks!
Wife Debbie joined The Healthy Mummy while she was breastfeeding her 6 month old. Feeling hungry all the time she, she was eating the wrong snacks and was worried about gaining weight.
Debbie says “I wanted to have the Healthy Mummy Smoothies, as they are breastfeeding friendly, and I wanted some new ideas for cooking and baking healthy meals as it’s something I really enjoy doing. I also have fibromyalgia and had been told that cutting out refined sugars would help me which it has so to have lots of recipes to hand for me was a big hit!!”
Whist the family of five had always enjoyed cooking family meals from scratch, it was a competition at Lee’s local gym that inspired him to lose weight by following The Healthy Mummy meals and snacks. The competition was for the biggest transformation in 12 weeks.
Lee says, “I aimed to lose a stone in total, but with the help of The Healthy Mummy recipes and training, I’d reached that after 6 weeks, so I just carried on going.”
Lee cut out eating shop-bought biscuits and snacks and swapped them for Healthy Mummy alternatives that Debbie would make for the family. He loved the Healthy Mummy variety of meals from the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge.

Not only has Lee has gone on to lose a whopping 1.8 stone, he also came 2nd in his gym competition. Well done Lee! Whilst it’s clearly changed his appearance, he’s loving the other benefits. Lee says “I feel stronger and can run faster and for longer.”

Lee says “Surround yourself with positive people and your family, set your goals and stick to it. Remember your reasons for doing it and never give up. My goals now are to maintain and encourage others.”
Wife Debbie says “ I’m just so pleased we found The Healthy Mummy, the recipes have been enjoyed by everyone. Healthy eating doesn’t need to be hard or mean spending hours in the kitchen, prepping doesn’t have to be massive or complicated, adapt recipes to suit you and your family. Healthy Mummy thank you.
