Are you feeling bloated, struggling to sleep and finding it hard to shift any weight? It may be your body’s way of telling you a dietary cleanse may be in order.
NO not the lemon detox diet or a grapefruit cleanse, but a real, back to basics meal plan that will pack in more goodness than usual.
Our quiz can give you a bit of insight into whether you might benefit from the 7 Day Cleanse which is coming up on the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge.
Check out the quiz below to see if it’s right for you…
How many of these ring true for you? If you can answer “yes” to most of these, then we’d say you will really see great results from the gap week cleanse meal plan.
And while you’re here, check out some of the images of the types of delicious food that will be offered on the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge gap week plan.
1. You’re feeling lethargic more often than not
You want to hit the hay at the same time the kids do. When you wake up you don’t feel rested, even though you went to bed early.
This may be because you’re filling your body with the wrong foods – too much sugar consumption or you’ve hit a plateau in your diet and exercise routine. Flush out whatever it is that’s making you feel like a zombie.
2. Abdominal bloating
You’ve just eaten a salad and cannot wait to take off your jeans. “Why am I so bloated when I’m eating healthy?”
Constipation can cause bloating and this may be because something in your digestive system is off. A lack of fibre in your diet is also a contributing factor to abdominal bloating and can cause major discomfort and can actually make you feel low.
3. You can’t seem to shift the weight
You may have an unwanted amount of toxins in your body, stopping you from losing weight. Try these delicious chia puddings (pictured below).
4. You have trouble actually falling asleep
An excessively toxic body can reduce the amount of melatonin that is released, which is needed for sleep.
5. You become stressed in menial situations
The kids spill their milk and you lose the plot. If your body isn’t ‘clean’ it is less equipped to deal with stressful situations. More stress is then put on your body and you may find yourself turning to caffeine or alcohol for relief.
6. If you’re craving whatever it is they’re advertising on the side of a bus
Usually that’s processed foods in the form of chocolate bars which (let’s face it), are addictive.
7. You’re sweating through your shirt when the air con is blasting
Your body is working overtime to push out the toxins in your body itself. You need to help it out here!
8. You’re feeling depressed
Processed foods cause your blood sugar levels to drop and with that your mood. As the saying goes, “you are what you eat.” Some ingredients found in these foods are also toxic to the body, causing your moods to swing like a see-saw.
9. Your skin no longer looks airbrushed
This is different for everyone, depending on their hormones, but the majority of people tend to break out when they’ve had too much of something like sugar. This is the body’s way of telling you, “I’ve had enough, no more please.”
10. Want more energy?
By eating clean and ridding your body of toxins you’ll find you not only have more energy but a stronger immune system.
The cleanse week plan is loaded with fresh, light and delicious recipes. You won’t be skipping meals though and you definitely won’t go hungry. Try the homemade granola (pictured above), it’s so easy and super delicious.
The meal plan is SPECIFICALLY designed to assist your body with its cleansing processes, help you load up on fibre and soak up plenty of vitamins and minerals to help you feel motivated, prepared and REFRESHED for the next 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge.
Remember, this is NOT a starvation meal plan – you’ve still got your three main meals and three healthy snacks per day. You will NOT be going hungry, but you WILL be feeling amazing at the end!
